Getting Ready For The Turkey Time Feast

My menu is set and I need to shop now. Here's my menu with links to the recipes I will use.

Menu

Holiday Cranberry Sauce - Simple but good! I once made one of those fancy cranberry sauces and it was too much for my taste. Truthfully, I like the stuff that comes out of the can too!

Turkey Stuffing/Dressing - I use the recipe here. I add water chestnuts & pine nuts to it. When I worked at Houlihan's in my younger years, the stuffing they made for their Thanksgiving dinner was so good and it had water chestnuts in it... so I just add them to this simple recipe.http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Baked-Moist-and-Savory-Stuffing/Detail.aspx

Green Bean Casserole
Mashed Potatoes - I like them creamy with no lumps
Gravy
Streuseled Sweet Potato Casserole - My fave and I made it today and it's in the freezer!!! This is from Cooking Light. It was in the magazine a few years ago and I have made it ever since. Always a hit at my house!!!

I found a Turkey Mold I will put this in.
Rolls
Coleslaw

Sams Club Pumpkin Pie (okay, they have the best Pumpkin Pie and it is huge and such a great price - $5.00, you can't make it that cheap. Take it out of the pie container and say you baked it, no one will know... Just hope they do not ask for the recipe.)
Choc. Chip Cookie Cheesecake - From Taste of Home... I have made this and it was a hit.

Apple Pie
Oreo Balls - They just look pretty on my tray of treats.
Do you have a special dish you make every year? Post the recipe in the comments and make my day!!!

I'm going to have to try those oreo balls! Thanksgiving at my families house is HUGE. In addition to the person hosting, everyone brings like 6/7 dishes. We end up with like 20+ sidedishes and 20+ desserts. I've been to other families Thanksgivings and I've never seen anything like my families. So, I think we end up with pretty much everything, lol.

Oh now the reason I came over here-you have an award over at my blog.
