We all scream for Icecream...
What could be tastier on a summer day than ice cream?
I bought my parents an ice cream ball for Christmas and this weekend we pulled it out and found out working for your ice cream makes it taste even better!!! With the unique Play and Freeze Ice Cream Maker, you can make ice cream and you don't need electricity to make this great tasting creamy treat, but rather just add ice and rock salt in one end and ice cream mix in the other end. Then, have a ball as you shake it, pass it, or roll it around for 10 to 15 minutes (2x). My kids enjoyed passing it back and forth... I think the ice cream tasted even better due to all the work they did to get it. Actually, I thought it was super easy and fun to do. The recipe that comes to the ball was easy for kids to make. The ice cream was very yummy! All of the family got into the action. Definitely a family fun activity. We rolled the ball back and fourth in the grass... we even gently kicked it to each other.

I like ice cream.
I like ice cream.
Yes I do!
One scoop for me?
No! Make it two!
Hmmm two scoops of ice cream,
I want more
How about three?
No, make that four!
1, 2, 3, 4,
Splat!
Splat!
"oh no! It's on the floor!"

I need to get that. We have a thermal bag for making ice cream, but you need to shake it. Rolling would be more fun, I think.
What fun! I remember rolling a can back and forth as a kid, but an ice cream ball would be even more entertaining!
I love making homemade ice cream. So fun and yummy.
Thanks for sharing with Friday Showcase!!!
I have always wanted to try that. It looks like fun.
Funny I just blogged about this as well. And we have the red one!The kids made some ice cream last week on a play date. It was disastrous, the play date -- not the ice cream! We also made ice cream to complement my mother in law's apple and blueberry pie for Father's Day dessert and today we put a twist on it. We substituted mint extract for the vanilla and added a sleeve of Girl Scouts smashed Thin Mint cookies to the mixture... OMGosh it was good! I love this!
